The generations of winemakers from Great Western only make this wine in exceptional vintages. The current release, the 2008 Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz celebrates the long history and tradition of Seppelt Sparkling wines and pays homage to this unique Australian wine style.
The Real Reviews Wine Classification of Australia comprises the greatest wines of Australia with an outstanding track record of a decade or longer. Less than 2% of the wines produced in Australia are listed, and only 0.5% of the wines produced achieved the “3 Merit Wines” classification of the Show Sparkling Shiraz.

The Seppelt Show Sparkling Shiraz is aged in the bottle on lees for a minimum of seven years. It’s disgorged at exactly the right maturity, this wine is ready to drink now and will reward with further careful cellaring.
Rich, bright fruit belie its age, displaying blackberry, dark cherry and raspberry compote. Some complex crushed leaves and chocolate flavours reveal sweet spices. The fine, mature tannins provide a distinction and balance that show us it was worth the wait. A wine for collectors and those who like to bring something special to the table.
