The team from Great Western Enterprises love the magnificent Great Western region, we love the wine produced from the region’s vineyards, the amazing Grampians produce and the passionate community we work with and who love the Great Western region as much as we do. We drink the wine, we tell the stories, we celebrate every triumph in our community. We work together with the Great Western businesses and community to bring visitors to our region.
Great Western Enterprises started business in Great Western in October 2016, when we became custodians of Seppelt Wines Great Western. Seppelt is the largest producer of wine in the Grampians Region and the home of the historic underground cellars. The first vines were planted at the Seppelt Winery in 1850’s, and every custodian of the property since have always pushed the boundaries and left their mark on their property. Great Western Enterprises have followed this tradition. We have had record numbers of visitors to the property.
Great Western Hotel – Early 2017 we purchased the heart of Great Western, the Great Western Hotel. Major renovations followed and the patronage followed. We are very proud of our pub community.
Salingers Cafe – Just across the road, we purchased the Cafe in September 2018. Salingers is a juxtaposition of the historic building and the modern, contemporary menu. During the covid lockdowns, the crew at Salingers developed sustainable kitchen gardens. Great Western Enterprises has 7 acres of garden. The produce we use is the freshest we can find. The highly regarded cafe is in the top 10% of cafes rated to visit in the world.
In February 2018 the Great Western General Store was relocated to the building beside Salingers.
We also have accommodation with 50 beds available in the Great Western Motel, Great Western Villas and Air BnB homes.
