the historic home of Seppelt Wines in the Grampians
The Great Western winery was founded in 1865 by Joseph Best, who commissioned local gold miners to tunnel the underground cellars which became known as ‘The Drives’. Stretching for 3km, The Drives are the largest underground cellars in Australia. An integral part of Seppelt’s history and heritage, ‘The Drives’ are celebrated with this range of popular varietals.
Great Western Enterprises work on the magnificent Gariwerd landscape of the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk people, the traditional custodians. We respect their land and their cultures and we pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and all Aboriginal Elders of other communities who may be here today.
