St Peters Shiraz 2006, St Peters Shiraz 2007, St Peters Shiraz 2010
The St Peters Vineyard has been considered the pinnacle of Grampians vineyards situated on a 30-acre block in front of the historic Seppelt Great Western property. St Peters Shiraz was first released as Great Western Hermitage in 1964 later being rebranded to St Peters in the late 1990s. Today St Peters is Seppelt Wines flagship Shiraz, testimony to the distinctive style and pedigree of Grampians Shiraz, only being produced in small quantities and only on exceptional years. The St Peters Shiraz has long been a firm favourite of cool-climate Shiraz lovers and the 2006 vintage is no exception. It consists of definite flavours of cedar, black pepper and eucalypts with a stunning medium-to-full-bodied Shiraz. The 2007 St Peters Shiraz shows an extreme elegance that is hard to find anywhere else. Deep crimson-purple in colour, aromatic red and black fruit nuances on the bouquet and gentle medium-bodied palate has a true grace. The last Shiraz in this collection is something you simply can not pass up the opportunity to add to your cellar. With three ratings over 95 and a pedigree to die for, the 2010 vintage is easily one of the best Shirazes in Australia. A glossy deep red colour with an impossibly long finish, the 2010 has a nose consisting of dark plum, leather and savoury cured meats, supported by a toasty vanilla oak. All three of the St Peters Shirazes in this collection are known for a distinct propensity to age gracefully.
Additionally, this pack includes a complimentary pass for two adults to the historic underground cellar tour as well as a complimentary pass for two adults for a premium wine tasting in the Seppelt Cellar Door. Tastings notes included for all wines listed.
