Welcome Back with a BANG!

Looking for an enjoyable experience in the beautiful Grampians Region? Look no further than Seppelt Wines in Great Western for an experience unlike any other.

The doors are open and the wine is pouring in the Seppelt Cellar Door and the staff are all very excited to see smiling faces from around Regional Victoria, looking to escape and enjoy some quality RnR.

Currently on offer in the Seppelt Cellar Door is the historic underground guided cellar tour. Your guide will share with you the stories and history of 160 years of winemaking from the wineries humble beginnings in 1865 to becoming one of the most well known wineries in Australia to date.

Feel yourself take a journey through time as you pass through the magnificent iron gate into the 3 kilometres of National Trust classified ‘Drives’. The expansive, rustic tunnels stretch further than the eye can see, enticing you to wander further and explore their rich history. Intitially consisting of a 9 metre deep shaft entry and a single Drive, successive owners of the winery continued to extend the hand dug Drives over a period of 60 years with the purpose of cellaring the extensive collection of famous wines produced at the property and to store them at an optimal temperature of 16 degrees. Today thousands of tourists a year, from Australia and beyond visit our winery to explore the Drives and marvel at their incredible history during the cellar tour. The underground cellar tour can accommodate up to 10 visitors maximum at any one time and bookings are advised.
